What my designs mean to me :-)

What made me wanting to study fashion was the fact that clothes seamed to be get smaller and smaller and unless i wanted to cover up completely there where really no famine dresses out there for my style. The dresses out there where nice but i wanted them to just cover my knee, where as they went above my knee. Also i love colour and even though there is colour out there just didn't have the style i liked. I'm a mother and layers are nice in flow material as i need easy access without showing the world what i have ha ha I'm sure most mothers would agree with that. My collection is colour mixed with soft flow styles and can just be thrown on and looks good for any occasion. from breakfast through to lunch and with the layering affect any little accidents happen can just peel away the layers. My favourite PS is the yellow leaf drees, I love the colour yellow and the soft flowing material that i have used to create the garment just flows through the wind so girly. Anybody can Wear my designs from 6year old right the way through to 50 and if your confident enough i don't see why not higher. especially in there day women are looking after their health allot better than they use to.

This was a fantastic day, I had so much fun> Thanks to our teacher helen whom made it all come together. I woud love to get the opportunity to work backstage abit more often.

Got my cowboy hat tonight to go with my range and have finished all the undergarments and a few dresses and vest. looking a necklaces and other items to go with my range then a whole weekend dedicated to beeding.

Today was a great day got quite allot done. Cant wait until next week will be able to put garments together and post as a whole out-fit. Love my colour chose, and Was a bit nervous going with such Strong colours since its pretty neutral this year but kid of glad that i stepped out of the boundreys with that.

Had a bit of fun today with the fashion shoot in Adelaide. Weather was a bit crisp but all up it was a great experience.

As you can see the garment is starting to come together all i have to do is add the sleeves on and start putting the PS together.

This is the main fabric that will be going down the runway. I love it its so beutiful and soft.

OK some coming up with some of my samples. Can't wait to do the PS in the right fabric and add the embellishments to them.

OK know I'm on a roll have all pattern PS. done and am finally making some good progress. Having the colours around me has been very inspiring and motivated. Going back to study on Monday( tomorrow) that means everything will start to come together with my collection. so will have new and inspiring pictures to put up.. I hope people are enjoying my blog :-)

So its the middle of July and know I'm getting butterfly's, scared and yet exited about my style of fashion. Just a hint at one of the garments that I am doing, can't put too much up yet as I don't want to give it away

To start off with, I am really enjoying the creating side. I have completed my patterns and know are in the process of making the garments I have Completed 4 garments all up, so far. Im looking forward to the parade and am know starting to get exited but also nervous about the end of studdy. I feel really lucky to have this opportunity to create something that I like to do as well as enjoy and having colour and creativity surrounding me.

coming up with the patterns are pretty easy to me i have had great teachers to encourage and inspire me . so i am loving this part of the work.

Taking colour from nature

Coming up with the name of my range name. Dont get mistaken as this is not my label name, but I have decided to name my range Free spirit.
Just saying the name makes me relaxed, and that is what I want my clothing to be. Relaxing and still looking good. I belive that clothing is suppose to be comfortable yet sexy and fits in with the body shape.
I also belive that clothing should make the person whom is wearing it feel good about themselves, even when they are having that day where they feel nothing looks right.

today we finished our range board, felt so good and have come up with colours and designs. Only 25 weeks until our fashion show. Its going to be great. Know its time to create the garments. Carnt wait to see the final ps put together.

Have finally come up with the way I am going to dress my six models, that will include over 21 garments. Yah SOOOOOOOOOO exited they are going to look fantastic and fresh
